The fourth edition will start from Cortina in September, cross the Alps, and end in Paris, the city that will host the next Summer Paralympics in 2024.
Each athlete will complete their race leg on a handbike, bicycle, on foot, or in an Olympic wheelchair, passing the symbolic baton to one another.
As usual, the race will be complemented by many supporting initiatives and events, involving local communities, sports villages, as well as promotion, recruitment, and raising awareness about sport and disability.
A new element in this edition is the Educational project.
The athletes and coaches of Obiettivo3 will meet with students in some of the cities visited by the event, and will hold a two-part presentation. The first part will be in the classroom, where the athletes will talk to the students about their life and rewriting it through Paralympic sport, teaching them its meaning, significance, and social value.
After the session in the classroom, an outdoor event will be organised during which the students will have the chance to try their hand at Paralympic sports and disciplines.
