Davide Cortini, born in 1977, is from Imola, in Emilia-Romagna. A sunny, spontaneous, easy-going person, he directed a construction company for several years. Since childhood, he’s always enjoyed sports; he loved running but especially cycling. After a cycling accident, he got back into it straight away, turning to handbikes.
He loves the feeling of riding his handbike, and his goal is to go as far as possible in the sport, supported by the strength of his children Vanessa and Federico. In just a few years, he has already reaped his first successes in paracycling, including earning the national team jersey. In 2022 he won gold at the World Cup in Belgium.
