Claudio Panciera, born in 1976, is a Paralympic athlete from Mestre. Sport, especially extreme sport, has always been in his DNA. As a child, he did swimming, rowing and athletics at a competitive level. At 39, a car accident resulted in the amputation of his left leg below the knee and a long period of hospitalisation.

The comeback, also from a mental point of view, was very hard, but what helped him, as well as his partner Milena, was sport. He competed and won in Paralympic canoeing and wakeboarding. He is a huge winter sports enthusiast and has been monoskiing since 2019. His love for snow sports kept growing and in 2021, he was signed up by the ObiettivoSCI project. An essential step towards achieving his dream, that of participating in the Paralympics in Milan-Cortina 2026.
