Alex Labindi

Alex Labindi, born in 1985, is from Imola. A sport lover since an early age, he started doing karate and skiing as a child, but soon fell in love with cycling. He was a strong cyclist until the age of 14, when he was involved in a serious cycling accident. After the diagnosis of paraplegia, he began his long rehabilitation, in which sport played a crucial role.
He fell in love with wheelchair basketball, a sport he practised for 12 years, and then also took up swimming, skiing and martial arts. Through fellow Imola native Davide Cortini, in 2018 he was introduced to Obiettivo3 and tried the handbike, a sport that reminded him of the one he practised before his accident. And so he got back on his bike. He sets himself no limits, and tries as much as possible to combine his greatest loves: travelling and cycling.
